SUMMARY

 

Levy Rates and Financial Condition:  The Board approved the established levy rates as prepared by the assessor.  A review of the current financial condition of the county was given.  Highlights include:  Expected revenues for the remainder of the year will cover all expenses, and a small surplus is expected of approximately $12,000.  Enrollment projections show enrollment to remain steady with little or no growth projected at this time. 

 

In other actions:

 

Ø      The Board received the report from the Fire Marshall’s Inspection that showed only two findings, MMS and EHEM, regarding the requirement to now conduct quarterly inspections.  A firm has been contracted to perform these services.

Ø      The Board approved continuation of the current contract for banking services for one year before re-bidding.

Ø      Job Descriptions for School Business Official/Treasurer and Accountant III were approved.

Ø      The Board approved a resolution in support of a legislative proposal to provide current year funding for growth counties.
