SUMMARY

Mr. Whetzel recommended the following disciplinary actions with regard to Mr. Brian Powell, teacher for Hardy County Schools: suspension without pay from November 14, 2005 through January 3, 2006 and dismissal as an employee of Hardy County effective January 4, 2006. The basis for this action is based on Hardy County Policy GBJ and State Code 18A-2-8. The grounds, as identified is state code, are incompetence as the State of West Virginia has suspended his teaching license for four years and he cannot teach in the State of West Virginia.

Max Park moved to accept these recommendations, seconded by Mr. Fertig.
