The following is provided as an unofficial summary of the above dated meeting of the Hardy County Board of Education. SUMMARY

The Board reviewed the letter being sent to Governor Manchin by Hardy County Schools and the Hardy County Commission requesting the placement on an upcoming special meeting of the legislature action to address the loss of tax revenue ($200,000 total - $120,000 for School and $80,000 for County Commission) due to an error by the West Virginia State Tax Department. Mr. Whetzel informed the Board that Mr. Jeff Amberg, with the State Tax Department, had contacted the county of his request to the Governor for this action.

Mowing bids for all Hardy County Schools were approved.

The Board appointed Mrs. Margaret Shriver to serve as the Board representative on the Five Year Plan Steering Committee.

Personnel Actions:

Transfer hearing was held for Ms. Sara Vetter, due to a change in her teaching responsibilities at Moorefield Middle School. The Board voted to approve this transfer.
