SCHOOL LUNCH APPLICATIONS
Lunch applications for free and reduced breakfast and lunch will be mailed to each student for the 2007-2008 school year. They will also be available at the Hardy County Public Library in Moorefield, the Public Library in Wardensville, and the Branch Library at Baker. Lunch applications in Spanish are also available in the schools.
Applications will be mailed with a cover letter explaining the process to make application for free and reduced lunch. It is important that families make application every year, or any time your financial status decreases. When you receive your application, please fill it out completely and return it to the Hardy County Board of Education office. If you feel you need assistance in completing the forms, please contact Nancy Sisk at 304-530-2348, Ext. 231 or Sherry Barb at 304-530-2348, Ext. 223. Information and assistance will be provided to parents upon request.
When making application, please be sure to list the names of all of your children on the application regardless of which school they attend. It is imperative that all parents return a completed form as families who do not return forms will be charged full price for meals.
Once received, you will be notified by letter of your eligibility for free or reduced lunch. If you do not receive a notice by the last day of September, we have not received an application. If you have any questions, please contact the Child Nutrition Office, 304-530-2348 Ext. 231 or 223.
