Moody
Fundraiser
The Moody fundraiser for MIS and MMS is scheduled to
be delivered on Wednesday, November 19, 2008.
It will be available for pick up from 3:00 – 5:00 in the MMS cafeteria.
FFA
News
The Moorefield Middle FFA is selling fruit Nov 1 –
Nov. 20. All orders should have a $5
deposit when ordering. Please call the
school to place an order. Fruit will be
delivered on Dec. 15 & Dec. 16 at MMS Agri-Tech
Lab.
School Procedures
Students will begin their
school day at 8:20 a. m. with homeroom where attendance will be taken and lunch
count will be determined. Students
arriving late for homeroom will be considered tardy. Parents are encouraged to make plans with
their child before they leave to come to school. Students are encouraged to not use the phone
during the day, for it takes away from their learning environment. Students can call parents at the end of the
day and use the pay phone as explained in the student handbook, unless it is an
emergency.
ATTENTION PARENTS
Local
school systems are required to notify parents that they have the right to
request and receive information on the professional qualifications of their
children's classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. If you desire this
information, please make a written request to the Principal in your child's
school.
Chorus/Band Concert
There
will be a Band/Chorus concert held on December 11 at 6:30 in the cafeteria.
Friendship Pictures
Strawbridge
Studies will be taking Friendship pictures on Dec. 11. This is available to MIS and MMS students. Pictures can include up to 6 students. Students may also use this as a Christmas
photo opportunity .
Order forms are in the office.
PE Uniforms
PE
uniforms may be purchased at this time.
Prices are as follows: Shirts -
$10.00, Shorts - $10.00, Hooded Sweatshirts -$15.00, Crew neck - $13.00, Gym
bags are $15.00. Please see Mr. Keplinger if you would like to purchase clothing.
Book Bingo
Book Bingo will be held on December
3, 2008 6-7 PM in the MMS cafeteria.
Think Wave Training
Think Wave Training for 6th grade
parents December 3, 2008 5-6 PM.
Moorefield Clovers 4H
Club
The Moorefield Clovers will hold
their Nov. meeting on Wed. Nov. 19th right after school in Mrs. Simmon's room. Anyone that is not already a 4H member
is invited to sign up. Please have parents pick up their children at 4:30.
GYM
Students are required to have a separate
pair of tennis shoes for gym class. This is to prevent damage to the gym
floor. Lockers can be rented for $2.00 per six weeks. Additional
information can be found in the MMS handbook.

There will be a dance held on November 21 from 3:15
– 5:00. Admission fee is $3.00. Pizza and drink will be sold for $1.00.
THE
BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER
The play, THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
EVER, based on the children's novel by Barbara Robinson, will be performed at
McCoy's Grand Theatre on November 28, 29, and 30 and December 5, 6, and
7. Friday and Saturday show times are 7:00 p.m. and Sunday show times are
at 2:00 p.m. Tickets will be available at the Hardy County Public Library,
Summit Community Bank, O'Neill's, and South Branch Inn. Several MMS
students and staff members are part of the cast and production crew.
Bring the entire family for a very entertaining kick-off to the holiday season!
