WELCOME TO HARDY COUNTY SCHOOLS
We have a vision in Hardy County to help all of our children succeed. Hardy
County is located in the Potomac Highlands region of the Eastern Panhandle
of West Virginia. It is part of the "growing section of West Virginia." We have
experienced continued growth in school enrollment for the last several years.
Hardy County continues to be largely an agricultural based community with
industry focused on poultry farming and processing, cabinetry, forestry and the service industry.
The school system is comprised of five schools placed to serve the geographic population areas of the county. The East Hardy complex consists
of East Hardy High
School, a grade 9-12 comprehensive high school that includes a vocational school and
East Hardy Early/Middle
School, a PK-8th grade facility.
The Moorefield area is served by three schools consisting of Moorefield
Elementary School, PK-4th grade; Moorefield Middle
School, Grades 5-8 and Moorefield High
School, a 9-12 facility. In all, there are 2313 students enrolled
in Hardy County Schools.
