Beliefs and Statement of Philosophy
As School Counselor of EHES I believe:
All students have the ability to learn.
Every student is valuable and is treated with dignity and respect.
All students can expect EHES to be a safe and nurturing environment.
Data will be used in the development and evaluation of the school counseling program.
All students' ethnic, cultural, and racial differences are considered in the design and implementation of school counseling services.
EHES School Counseling Program:
Will be managed by a full-time, state-certified, and master's degree level counselor.
Is available to all students to assist them with personal/social, academic, and career counseling needs.
Encourages and is supportive of positive parental involvement in school.
Will be comprehensive and data driven.
Hold high expectations for all students.
As the school counselor I will:
Engage in professional development activities.
Abide by the professional school counseling ethics as advocated by the American School Counseling Association.
Advocate for all students at EHES.
