Beliefs and Statement of Philosophy

As School Counselor of EHES I believe:

  • All students have the ability to learn.

  • Every student is valuable and is treated with dignity and respect.

  • All students can expect EHES to be a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Data will be used in the development and evaluation of the school counseling program.

  • All students' ethnic, cultural, and racial differences are considered in the design and implementation of school counseling services.

EHES School Counseling Program:

  • Will be managed by a full-time, state-certified, and master's degree level counselor.

  • Is available to all students to assist them with personal/social, academic, and career counseling needs.

  • Encourages and is supportive of positive parental involvement in school.

  • Will be comprehensive and data driven.

  • Hold high expectations for all students.

As the school counselor I will:

  • Engage in professional development activities.

  • Abide by the professional school counseling ethics as advocated by the American School Counseling Association.

  • Advocate for all students at EHES.
