Special thanks to the MIS Student Council members for a wonderful year. They have exhibited tremendous leadership throughout the year and helped the advance our Leader In Me Program. As a final act of service they posted Leader In Me Posters throughout the building today for a little inspiration to others.

Hardy County Schools celebrated our teachers, bus drivers, principals and service personnel of the year tonight! They enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by both high school prostart classes, followed by an awards ceremony and the announcement of the county winners.
At MIS we were proud to honor our teacher of the year Bridget Sions and service personnel of the year Sunja Salyers.
Congratulations to you both and thanks for all you do for the students at MIS!
Mrs. Sions had an obligation to her family after the meal, so we honor her at the ballpark with awards just the same! Ms. Sunja is pictured receiving her awards.

MIS 3rd grade students have had such a great time this week learning about dinosaurs. Mrs. Weese's class pictured here worked to create salt dough creations replicating dinosaur bones. Now that they have reconstructed the entire dinosaur, next week they will look at more aspects based on these designs. Do you see indications that make them a carnivore? How do you tell the difference on if they walked on two legs or four and why? These questions and many more will be answered next week based on their hard work on creating these replicas this week! Great work students!

MIS is so excited for the amazing turnout for tonight's father daughter dance! So great to see so many parents out enjoying the evening with their children! Special family moments being created tonight!
