Hardy County Schools will utilize a non-traditional instructional day for January 28, 2026. Students and staff will work from home.

Hardy County Schools and Central Office will be closed Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27. We will use our last two free days.
Smile Programs... the mobile dentists are planning to be here February 4th and will return in April. If you have not already enrolled your student to receive dental services at school, you can sign up online.

The community's support of our Grow Kindness Garden has been amazing! We can't wait to see what Spring brings to our flower garden.

Due to wind chill forecasts, Hardy County Schools will utilize the third of our five "free" banked time days on Tuesday, January 20. Students do NOT have work to do at home for this day.

Schools will be closed for students and staff on Monday, January 19 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Schools will dismiss three hours early on Tuesday, January 20 for Teacher Learning Teams.
