WV Young Writers Contest is here and MIS will be participating! All rules and instructions are included and have been shared with students at school. Some classes may work on this in school, while others may make it optional. If your child wishes to participate, they need to complete the typed essay and submit to their teacher or Mrs. Vetter the Young Writers Coordinator by January 24th! Important update! The three hour early release scheduled for Friday, December 13 has been cancelled and rescheduled for Friday, December 20. December 13 will now be a full day. Please make note of this important change.

Today, 5th graders researched and designed paper airplanes. The students' challenge was to create a paper airplane within 30 minutes that flew the farthest. Some of the students' design elements were very similar to the aircraft we visited at the Udvar Hazy Earth and Space Center earlier this week. Great job to everyone!
