Such neat experiences that are made possible for our students. This will also not be possible without the support of the Hardy County Community Foundation! We appreciate your support!

MIS Staff is ready to kick off spring break with their favorite sports teams this morning. Can't wait to see the students teams!

MIS PTO has some of the greatest members and people you could ask for! Thank you for providing the staff a wonderful meal for parent teacher conferences tonight! Your support is always appreciated!

MIS PTO is actively seeking new members to get involved and help with events in your child's school. If you are a current parent of a Moorefield student in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade please reach out to us or attend our next meeting on April 8, 2024 @ 4:30pm @ MIS! We are trying to get interested members established as we begin thinking about next school year. Thank you!

MIS clubs are at it again...music makers club making beautiful songs with their boomwhackers and science club experimenting by creating elephant toothpaste! Shout out to the Hardy County Community Foundation whose grants make all this possible!

We are so proud of our students and staff and all they accomplish! Our 3rd grade students have been learning about land formations. Today they were given the chance to showcase those skills by creating land formations using salt dough they made yesterday. Next they will paint all the lakes, rivers, mountains, etc. within their projects. Great job students!

In 5th grade, Miss Wells class has been working on physical and chemical reactions. In this experiment they used the information they have been learning to create Fizzy Eggs! If you're in need of a new way to dye eggs with your children this is a great experiment!

Hardy County Schools will be closed tomorrow, March 22 due to continuous fires in the area and due to the current state of emergency issued by the governor.

Due to various fires, power outages, and other hazardous conditions throughout the county, we will operate on a three hour delay tomorrow morning (03/21/24). We are hopeful this will give us time to appropriately assess the county roads. Please stay safe!

Congratulations to Amber Roomsburg for becoming a 5th grade math master.
