will operate on a two-hour delay for Monday, February 2, 2026.

Hardy County Schools will have a non-traditional instructional day on Friday, January 30, 2026. All staff will report to home schools/locations on a two-hour delay.
Hardy County Schools will have a nontraditional instructional day for Thursday, January 29, 2026. Students and staff will work from home.
Hardy County Schools will utilize a non-traditional instructional day for January 28, 2026. Students and staff will work from home.

Hardy County Schools and Central Office will be closed Monday, January 26 and Tuesday, January 27. We will use our last two free days.
Due to wind chill forecasts, Hardy County Schools will utilize the third of our five "free" banked time days on Tuesday, January 20. Students do NOT have work to do at home for this day.

Schools will be closed for students and staff on Monday, January 19 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Schools will dismiss three hours early on Tuesday, January 20 for Teacher Learning Teams.

Attention 8th grade students!!! West Virginia Secretary of State, Kris Warner, has announced a statewide "I Voted" sticker design contest for 8th grade students to create an original design that could become the next "I Voted" sticker worn by voters across West Virginia. Preschool Registration Information for the 2026-2027 School Year

Hardy County Schools will dismiss three hours early on Tuesday, December 23 to officially kick off winter break. Please note that we have made a change in our original calendar and January 6 will now be an NTID which means that students will work from home that day and staff will report. Students will return to in person learning on January 7, 2026. Have a wonderful holiday season!
Salt dough Christmas ornaments decorated the afterschool program at MIS recently. Students used math skills, cooperative learning, and sequencing to create their unique ornaments.









The Moorefield Intermediate School 21st CCLC Afterschool Program enjoyed learning about how first responders work together to support our safety. Thank you to West Hardy Ambulance Service, Fire Company 46, Hardy County 911 Dispatch, and the WV State Troopers.
